Reviews Zombies - November 2002 - NME

It seems unfortunate that, while Space are euphemistically 'getting back to their roots' by playing a handful of 'low-key' dates in nasty pubs nationwide, they should release a single of such inconsequence as 'Zombies'. The comedy vocals of old have thankfully been expunged, but all that remains is a lumbering synth stomp. With liverpool enjoying its most fertile music scene for decades - and most of the new wave are at least 20 years younger than this lot - Space look hopelessly irrelevant. (PL)
