Suburban Rock 'n' Roll

Space's third album was finally released six years after the previous. Unfortunately factors including a reduced fanbase due to the long wait and a critical lack of promotion kept Suburban Rock 'n' Roll buried in relative obscurity. Nonetheless, it remains a popular record with fans to this day. Three of the tracks were released as singles.

This is a grower. But its a damn fast grower! What makes this significant though, is the fact that Spaces first two albums provided instant joy for my aural senses, but now they hardly get an outing. I feel the very fact that Suburban Rock n Roll has commanded a more concentrated listening effort, bodes well for a priority place in my playlist, not just now, but for many years to come.

Having said all this, the title track, Hitch Hiking, and The English Language (A more upbeat re-working of a song originally made available for download through the website) couple instant ear candy with lyrical oil slicks.
